Seneca Falls and the drive to Cooperstown

We’re in Cooperstown now. We arrived about 30 minutes ago after a long detour. Maybe Matt can tell you about that. Our family owned motel is nice, with no stink (unlike the Motel 6), a big space, internet access, and a fridge. We'll be here two nights. A good spot to stop for two nights.

It’s been a rainy day. We woke up to rain in Buffalo and it has not stopped raining all day. That’s been okay though because we’ve spent much of the day driving. We went to Seneca Falls to the Women’s Rights National Historic Park, which was really nice.

We took Route 20 from Seneca Falls to Cooperstown on the suggestion of Jodie and Dave. It was good to get off the interstate and see all the little towns—some upscale and touristy, and some sad and poor. The scenery was beautiful—more hilly than I expected and with lots of lakes. I took a picture to show what the beauty looked like in the rain.

Now that we’re on the trip, the anxiety has mostly subsided for the kids. We’re all doing well!
