Today was our last day in DC. We went to the
Holocaust Museum. It is a really powerful museum. The main take-away for the kids was that the Holocaust was not that long ago—they believed it ancient history. I wondered why the
Freedom Center can’t improve by taking some ideas from it.
We also went to the top of the Washington Monument.

It was cool, mostly just because it was the Washington Monument. The main floor is beautifully tiled, which was surprising. Then, the observatory area was not decorated—you could see the stone from the inside. So fancy or plain, it was cool to us.
Now we’re in Colonial Williamsburg—the last stop on our journey.
